Oregon Strong, Inc. is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Supported Employment Job
Developer and Coach responsible for providing job development services to adults who
have mental health diagnosis. Collaborates with other treatment providers and
members of the community to promote long-term success. Services are based on the
eight principles of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model of supported
employment, an evidence-based practice that promotes independence and community
integration. This position will provide on-going assessment and career development for
consumers. Willingness to work flexible hours.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or a combination of at least three years of
relevant work, education, training or experience in mental health field to qualify as a
QMHA.
2. Skill in interviewing and counseling, public speaking, and community outreach.
3. Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and pass a criminal history check and
drug screening.
Job Duties:
1. Work with individuals with mental health diagnosis and help them obtain competitive
work in the community.
2. Provide support necessary to ensure success at the workplace in integrated settings in
the community.
3. Provide support and information to family members including individual consultation.
4. Assist clients in applying for and obtaining services and benefits.
5. Assist client with transportation if needed.
6. Prepare clear and concise reports and maintain accurate case notes and client files.
7. Develop relationships with employers through multiple in-person visits that focus on
learning about the business needs and hiring preferences of employers.
