Job Description

This is a PRN position (on-call as needed only)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities.  Other duties may be assigned)

  • Helpdesk support, monitor support tickets.
  • Install, modify, and make minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems, and provide technical advice and support to system users.
  • Ensure issue resolutions and training is documented per department requirements.
  • Phone system support, video conferencing setup, and Printer/copier/fax/scanner monitoring.
  • Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on users’ premises.
  • Assist in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with network services and information system groups.
  • Refer major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
  • Administer e-mail and anti-virus systems.
  • Knowledge of or skill with the equipment, systems, theory, and protocols of computer information networks
  • Knowledge of VPNs, Firewalls, Cybersecurity, Software Management for large groups of computers running on diverse operating systems.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of background check.

Preferred:

  • AA degree in Information Technology, or related field.
    • Plus, 2-years’ experience providing software support to end users.
  • Bilingual/Multilingual a plus.
  • Prefer Microsoft Certification.
  • Network Support Experience.
