Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI) has an immediate opening for a Clinical Services Associate. This position will be based out of the employee’s home office, which can be located within the State of Oregon.

The Clinical Services Associate is responsible for providing support on the Clinical Services team. This position assures that Utilization Management (UM) authorization requests are processed in a timely manner in the EHR database.

Essential duties include:
● Completes data entry for all incoming UM requests.
● Reviews and follows-up on all authorizations with providers if there is any missing information before entering into HMS Essette database.
● Review authorization requests for minimum required documentation, based on UM standards.
● Communicate barriers and requests for modification to UM Coordinators in charge of authorization.
● Document concerns / issues associated with authorizations.
● Receives and helps with member phone calls.
● Responsible for checking the UM email folder throughout the day.
● Responsible for checking Provider credentials.
● Notifications of acute admission and open in Essette.
● ED report notes.
● Work with UM / CM teams to maintain workflow productivity.
● Answer provider and member calls, transferring when appropriate.
● Provides back-up to Integrated Services Coordinator as needed.
● Performs other related duties as assigned.

What is needed to succeed in this role:
● Three years experience working in a medical office setting.
● Behavioral Health knowledge preferred.
● Experience working with CPT codes and billing procedures preferred.
● Excellent time management and organizational skills.
● Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels.
● Technology Savvy – proficient in Microsoft Office software and/or Google Suites software.
● Education – High School diploma or equivalent.
