Job Description

Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Court Coordinator and Dual Therapist. This position works with individuals who have a severe and persistent mental illness and substance abuse problems who are either receiving community restoration, aid & assist community evaluation or participating in behavioral health court. Coordinates treatment services and provides general oversight to the Behavioral Health Court as well as Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) evaluations.

The Requirements:

Master’s Degree in a social science field required.* To qualify as a QMHP.
LCSW preferred or willingness to pursue.
CADC or willingness to pursue certification.
Experience in MRT, forensic community based collaborative treatment desirable.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of assessment and treatment planning.
Willing to perform occasional on call crisis duties.
All Master level QMHP’s must be credentialed as a mental health investigator or willing to pursue credentialing.
Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and be insurable for client service purposes, travel between business offices, and to attend required meeting and/or trainings.
Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and in accordance with OAR 407-007-0200-407-007-0370 and drug screening.
*If masters degree has not been obtained, to be considered for this position you must be attending school and have at least 30 credits based on quarter completed, or 20 credits based on semester completed

Essential Job Functions:

Provide individual, family and group therapy and assessments.
Develop individual treatment plans.
Court liaison as related to Aid & Assist, .370 population, and community restoration under ORS 161.370
Court liaison as related to PSRB under ORS 161.300
Liaison and treatment provider for Union County Behavioral Health Court.
Work with clinical supervisors, and behavioral health team to coordinate services.
Ensure all reports related to Aid & Assist services, PSRB, and BH Court are completed accurately and timely manner.
Coordinate legal skills training and case management with Aid and Assist Case Manager.
Works on agency committees and cross-team committees as a representative of the BHT team and sits on community and interagency committees as a representative of CHD.
Participate on the Crisis Team rotation for back up of night time and day time crisis workers and holidays.
Understand agency productivity requirements and comply as appropriate.
Pursue investigator or unless currently certified and provide pre-commitment investigations as needed.
Complete documentation in a timely manner and are encouraged to do concurrent and/or collaborative documentation when clinically appropriate.
Assist in providing general oversight to the treatment court to include meeting attendance, grant reporting, and administration of the budget (to include management of contracts), program support, funding solicitation and community outreach. The responsibilities exist for the term of this Agreement, as funding permits.
Ensure the treatment court policies and procedures are updated annually and followed during program operations.
The Coordinator will provide oversight of the statistical database and evaluation process of the treatment court.
Assist in providing or seeking continuing training for the treatment court team and will ensure all new team members receive a treatment court orientation before participating in their first staffing.
Operate in conjunction with the treatment court team for the assessment and placement of participants in the appropriate level of care to meet their treatment needs.
Utilize a validated clinical screening and assessment tool to ensure appropriate placement of participants.
