Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
– Provide assessments
– Make referrals
– Conduct individual and group counseling
– Provide education and support for clients and families
– Screen for clients for eligibility
– Conduct comprehensive evaluations resulting in a DSM V diagnosis
– Develop diagnostic evaluations and treatment plans for clients including delivery of appropriate services as defined by a detailed treatment plan
– May provide consultation for chemical dependency problems, education and training for other program staff and community agencies and groups
– May provide clinical review of work by other clinicians or subcontracted programs
– Can act as program coordinator; design program services and coordinate activities with assigned staff
Qualifications:
– M.A. degree plus two years’ experience and an additional two years of supervisory or program management or maintain clinical licensure for the appropriate state in which work is performed.
– Difficult cases and crisis management experience are emphasized
– Ability to provide clinical oversight
– May review work of others and/or supervision of others
– Must pass a background check
